{the handmade shop :: packaging orders}

Hi there! I've been having tons of fun practicing ways to package up my orders!

Handmade is special. Shopping handmade should make my customers feel all warm and fuzzy. At least that's how I feel when I shop handmade!

Here is how I've been packaging my some of my small item orders.

 I love the idea of a freebie or a "gift with purchase". I came across a bunch of really fun pencils that I've been including in my orders. Just something small, but unexpected and fun!

Have you met Kelsey over at Poofy Cheeks yet??? Well she has a really fun shop and carries super cute packaging supplies.

I just ordered these goodies from her and I can't wait to start playing around with even more fun packaging ideas!

Have a great day friends!

{shop update}

Hi friends! Happy Friday! I am so ready for the weekend! It's supposed to rain hear on Sunday so I have big plans to curl up the couch with my Kindle and READ!!!

There are a few new things in the shop{s}!

This is the LAST Belted Tote in this color way! It can be yours HERE.

The yellow and gray color way sold out at my show last weekend, but good news for you...I have enough fabric to make TWO MORE!!! If you're interested in one, shoot me an email and I'll get you on my custom order list! {sold out, sorry friends! Stay tuned for more bag updates!}

Thank you all SO MUCH for the love on my DIY Business cards!!!

 I was overwhelmed by the response I received to the tutorial! I love that you loved it! Do you need something cute to carry your new business cards in??? Well I can hook you up!

Two different styles to choose from! Both have two interior pockets and both will hold your business cards, cash, debit card AND your phone!!!

 So fun. They're my favorite! I carry mine everywhere.

Lastly, there is a new crochet item in my Etsy shop!

A fun chunky headband with a flower and a fabric covered button. Cozy perfection. It can be yours HERE. I am hoping to whip up a few more this weekend if I have time!

Have a great day everyone!

{a few custom orders and a shop update}

Happy Saturday lovelies! Today I get to eat pancakes and snuggle with my friends newborn so I'm predicting a pretty great day!

Want to have a look at some of the things I've been making lately??? Ok :)

Pleated Kindle Pouch {I will be listing a handful of these in the shop next week!}

Ruffled Laptop Sleeve {these will NOT be listed in the shop. Custom order only starting in April!}

Little Phone Wallet in Canvas and Damask. Love this one. So classy.

Now for a peak at what's new in THE SHOP this week!

The Pleated Sunglasses Pouches have arrived!!!

Cute, huh!? It's a sweet and stylish pouch to keep your glasses or sunglasses protected in your bag. Fully lined and padded. These are generously sized so they will fit even a larger pair of sunglasses. Measure's about 4x6.5".

*This is a Keyka Lou Pattern originally intended for a cell phone, but I modified it to accommodate glasses/sunglasses.

There are still a few more...

And only THREE Strap Clutches left!

Happy Shopping! I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

{Shop Update}

Yayee! Blogger is back up! That was irritating, but it made me realize two important things…that I rely too much on technology and that I really need to vacuum my house.

Here are some new things you’ll find!

What I’ve been working on…

Good morning friends! I apologize for the lack of posting going on these days! I have a big show coming up this Saturday and I have been sewing like a crazy lady to get ready for it. I am debuting several new styles of my items including this pretty new Wristlet in Burlap and Lace.

Burlap_Lace

What do you think? I am pretty much in love with it! I am hoping I sell out at my show, but don’t worry, I will be listing lots of new pretties in the shop within the next few weeks! I think my creative funk is officially over…yayee!!!

Have a happy day!

Look! I got a makeover!!!

I am thrilled to reveal the new Sew Chatty Blog and Etsy Shop! I was extremely blessed with a GREAT boutique last weekend and knew that I wanted to put some of the money from the sales back into my business to really help me leap up to the next level. I knew a blog and shop makeover was a top priority so I contacted my new friend Kim at 733Design.

Kim does really great work and she was an absolute dream to work with! If you are in need of a blog and shop makeover as well, I would HIGHLY recommend Kim! Check out her portfolio to see more of her work! Kim also has a really fun craft blog where she features fun crafty ideas and hosts weekly link parties (which I participate in often! That's how I found her!)

I hope you like my new look! Lots of fun things in the works at Sew Chatty so be sure to check back often or subscribe in a reader! Have a blessed night!
