{Merry & Bright Christmas Mantle}

Hi there and Merry Christmas to you! I'm sharing my Merry & Bright Christmas Mantle here today! We don't do a whole a lot of decorating for Christmas. Just the tree and the mantle and a few things that are special to us. This year's mantle was SO FUN to do. I honestly have no plans to change it next year.

Ta dahhhhhhhhh! It's my favorite ever! Let me tell you about some of the details!

The bright colored trees are just the foam ones. I picked them up at JoAnn's. I wrapped them in fabric strips and different trims and stuck a sweet little pom pom on top.

I love love love this Christmas print. JoAnn's had some great fabrics this season! I framed this one in an embroidery hoop that I wrapped in strips of green gingham. 

I went a little non traditional for my wreath this year. I added some yellow and aqua in with the go to red and green. Funky and fun. I wrapped the wreath form in fabric strips and trims and yarn and added a silver glittered ornament with some hot glue. I love it all but I think those pom poms are my fave.

A little hint of our tree. I made tons of these crocheted ornaments this year. I adore them so much! I very well might COVER the tree in them next year. Better start working on them in July. I forgot to add garland to the tree this year. Oops. But have no fear, I raided the miscellaneous trim bucket and tied a bunch of odds and ends together. So now the tree is covered in ribbon and pompoms and lace.

{Christmas Treats and DIY Parchment bags}

Hi friends! I hope you've had a fabulous Christmasy type week! I've been making lots of gifts and treats and today I'm sharing what I'm giving to our neighbors!

I went with SUPER easy treats this year! My motto is always "simple food tastes the best".

Fist up...

Christmas Crackers:

1 box/bag oyster crackers

1 packet dry ranch dressing mix

1/4 cup canola oil

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Preheat oven to 250. Mix together ranch, oil, & garlic powder. Add crackers to ranch mixture and toss evenly with wooden spoon to coat. Line cookie sheet with foil {I hate washing cookie sheets} spread crackers evenly onto sheet. Bake for 15 stirring every 5.

Seriously people. These are AMAZING. I'm not actually sure how much the neighbors will get if I don't back away from the bowl.

OK, next is the easiest fudge in the world. Three ingredients. You ready?

3 Ingredient Fudge:

3 cups chocolate chips

1 can sweetened condensed milk

2 tsp vanilla

Melt the chocolate chips and condensed milk together until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla. Pour in to parchment lined 8" square pan. Let sit for 4 hours or until cooled completely. Remove from pan. Peel off parchment and cut into pretty little squares.

Alright now for the treat bags. I had originally intended on buying little clear bags at Target, but they were out so I had to get crafty and make some little parchment bags.

 I don't know about you, but I think those are a million times cuter than what I could have bought at Target!

Parchment Bag Instructions:

Take your roll of parchment and cut a 6" piece from the roll. Fold the bottom up but leave a 3 inch portion as your flap. Sew down each side with a 1/4" seam. Fold flap down and adhere with some fancy washi tape! So simple and cute!

Each bag will hold about a cup of crackers or 6 pieces of fudge.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Little man was really into Christmas this year so it was super fun for us. He made extra sure to take care of all the details like setting out cookies for Santa and putting the magical reindeer food (granola and glitter) on the lawn…all very necessary to insure that the Big Guy would visit our house! And he did!!! Seeing the excitement as Carter opened the gift that Santa’s elves had made just for him {Cars Monster Truck Wrastin’ Ring} was priceless!

I would say we all had a very blessed day…except for Lucy who was a little ticked off that Santa forgot to fill her stocking. Oh well…she has paper to lay on!

Warehouse Christmas Dessert & Made with Love Monday #5

Last night was the annual Christmas Dessert at our church The Warehouse. It's always such a fun event and last night was no exception! As I mentioned yesterday a friend and I were in charge of the coffee bar and dessert tables...lots of tasty hot drinks and yummy desserts were had by all! Here are a few photos to recap last nights festivities!

We offered 3 specialty drinks and a recipe for each...

Not too Shabby! {Some Dollar Store Crafting}

A friend and I are in charge of the coffee bar and dessert tables out our church dessert tonight. Budget is limited so we had to get crafty on the cheap...which means a trip to the Dollar Tree! Here are a few of the table decorations we came up with...

We picked up frames, wrapping paper, votive holders, flameless candles, bells...lots of fun stuff! A BIG thanks to Kristen at Betty Crocker Wannabe for sharing this adorable printable! Perfect for my coffee bar tables!

We can't have open flames in the facility we're renting so we picked up these battery operated flameless candles and {cuted} them up a bit with some paper ribbon and mini candy canes! I love how they turned out!

We're doing a few fancy hot drinks which require various syrups and toppings and since the bottles are not cute at all...we wrapped them up in some candy cane paper and hot glued a peppermint candy to the bow! So fun!

Holiday Shabby Blossoms!

Holiday Shabby Blossoms are here! I was asked to do a custom order of Blossoms for a friend. She wanted hairclips for her little girls for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love how they turned out! I plan on listing a few sets in the shop soon!
