A Finished Quilt.
Ta Da!!! I finished my scrappy log cabin quilt while we were away this weekend. I so love how it turned out. I especially love that it is a traditional quilt pattern with bright funky fabrics and a modern backing, but I think my favorite is the scrappy binding. I quilted it with straight lines on the diagonal with a double line every other…make sense? Now, I just need to label it. I can’t believe I am capable of making something so nice :P

Checked some new books out at the library…
After I paid my $17 late fee…I know, I know, I’m very irresponsible…I checked out some new books. I’ve heard good things about the Martha one…couldn’t believe they had it at my tiny little library! Maybe she will give me some new ideas to try out!
Dreaming…
I have been booming with custom orders lately. Not complaining it’s a great problem to have! But alas, I have this gorgeous fabric that I stare at everyday begging me to turn it into a quilt for ME…and sadly I don’t have time to work on it just yet. But someday I will. Until then I will just keeping admiring it and dream of cuddling with it on my comfy couch with a book book and some iced tea…Here is a pic so you can stare at it too. It’s the Dill Blossom line from Robert Kaufman and will be backed in Kona Aqua and bound in a cheery sunshine yellow polka dot print. I got the pattern from Moda Bake Shop. I can’t wait!
