  15. I help my son make ornaments every year to give to all of our family. They always turn out so great and I love that we now have a collection of 'his' ornaments. They are my favorite handmade Christmas gift because I can remember about each year while decorating the tree.

  33. my favorite handmade Christmas gift was a cape - actually two capes, I made for my sons. They were satin with velcro closure around the neck - black on one side and their fav color on the other (red for one and blue for the other). They were the perfect make believe capes...super heros, wizards, vampires, knights, kings....over 3 years of solid wear and they STILL use them. It makes me smile to see them using something I made by hand.

  40. There are way too many to tell you about. My mom and I use to cross stitch small Christmas pictures, have them framed, and give them out to friends and relatives. We also used to stencil Christmas scenes on muslin and make pillows to give as gifts.

  51. My favorite handmade gift to give is a quilt. The dearest handmade gift I've received at Christmas are Christmas ornaments made by my nieces when they were little. Their family had suffered a tragic loss, but their mom did her best to make it a cheery Christmas. When I see those ornaments every year I am reminded of my sister's resilience and devotion to her family as well as the sweet little girls who have grown into such lovely women.
